My brother and I share a guinea pig named Hoody. Hoody is about one year old. We got him when he was three months old! He has black fur and he has white fur over his head. That's why we call him Hoody! He also has pink and black ears!
We feed Hoody carrots, parsley, oranges, and kale. His favorites are carrots and parsley.
If he hears you open the refrigerator he will squeal!

Hi Grace,
ReplyDeleteCurrently, I do not have a pet. In the past I have had a dog and birds. The name of my dog was Phyllis and my birds names were, Pete, Bannana and Skittles.
I do want a pet. When I get a pet, I want a hamster. When I get one I will call him Mr. Fluffy.
I like Hoddy, he looks cute and fluffy and I like his wiskers too. Are Hoddys wiskers sharp or soft.
From, Finn
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post about Hoody, your guinea pig! I just looked up facts about them and I learned that their teeth never stop growing and that's why they need to chew! Wow!
Does anyone know any other fun facts about guinea pigs?
I used to have a lot of pets. My family had dogs growing up and I recently had a beautiful white cat named Sam. He was an adult when I got him at the pound, and he lived to be 18 years old! Sam used to come and meet me at the door when I got home and would meow and meow!
I think Mr. Yollis and I might get a dog later this year!

ReplyDeleteThank you for taking time to look up facts about guinea pigs. I do not know why guinea pigs teeth do not stop growing! Later today I will look up facts about guinea pigs. I will keep you posted!
I can't believe that your cat Sam lived to be 18!
Warmly,
Grace
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteHoody is really cute! Another friend of mine also has a guinea pig, her name is Skyler. Just like Hoody, she squeals when the refrigerator door is opened!
I have a dog named Conner, he is 4 years old. We rescued him from the animal shelter when he was one. We love him very much, he is part of our family.
Your friend,
Hannah★
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteExcellent post about your pet guinea pig, Hoody.
I have a cat named Coco. She is a persian cat. Her color is brown and white. I also have a Dog named Bella. She is white with a black head. Bella is 3 years old, and her birthday is February the third.
Here are some questions:
Do you know Hoody's birthday?
Do you have any other pets?
Do you clean his cage?
Sincerely,
Im★n
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteHoody looks very cute and friendly. I wonder if he is as cute and friendly as he looks. Your post about Hoody was a wonderful post. I have never seen a post about a pet. I used to have a dog named Brooklyn, but we had to give him away for these reasons:
1. She might of gotten eaten by a coyote in my old house.
2. She might of jumped over the fence and got ran over by a car.
3. She bit our door and a lot of other things.
4. She bit me in my 2nd house.
Have you had Hoody for the year he has been alive?
Sincerely,
Jaden
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteHoody is so cute! I have a cat named Duchess. All Duchess does is sleep or eat, but she is cute anyway!

Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post about your Guinea Pig, Hoody.
Unfortunately, I do not have a pet because my mom always says that two kids are way too much work for her. She says that she does not really like pets because they can be very messy.
I have always wanted have a pet but I can't.
I have a question:
Do you have any other pets?
Your friend,
Adia
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteI think Hoody is very adorable! I have a pet named
Champ, and he is a lab. He is hilarious. When ever we come back from a walk, he jumps into the pool then he takes a drink of water and runs around the pool. He does this over and over again until he is exhausted. I wish I could have two pets.
Does Hoddy have a spinning wheel?
If you could have another pet, what would it be and what would its name be?
Your friend,
Ryan
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteWow! I love your new post about Hoody. I do have a pet but we had to give him back because he bit my best friend's sister. We were all crying when we found out.
I thought that was an amazing post about Hoody because I got to see what he looked like. That was very interesting to me. I would love to get a another pet soon. I think that we might get another dog soon when my little sister is 4 years old. Again I loved your post about Hoody.
I have some questions for you:
Where does Hoody sleep?
Have you ever had a dog before?
If he bites would you get rid of the dog?
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteHoody is amazing! I think it is funny that he squeals when you open the refrigerator.
I have a question.
How much does Hoody weigh?
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteHoody is so cute! I have some questions for you. How fast does he run and how much does he weigh? I used to have a pet bird but it flew away.

Nicole
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteI have two guinea pigs at my house. Their names are Asia and Taffy. Hoody is very good but his bites are very hard.
I have some questions for you:
Where did you get Hoody?
From,
Lindsay
Dear Gracie,
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting post. I especially love the pictures and the detailed descriptions of the life of Hoody. One thing is for sure, he is one lucky guinea pig to live with you and your family. He is a super duper cutie.
In a later comment, I will tell you a funny story about a cockatiel I used to have before Adia was born. For now, though, I have researched Wikipedia, a free online encyclopedia, and have come across some interesting facts, which I would love to share with you.
I read that when guinea pigs are excited, they may repeatedly perform little hoops in the air, known as "popcorning". Have you ever observed Hoody perform "popcorning"? I'm trying so hard to picture that scene. It must be just hilarious.
They're supposed to be exceedingly good swimmers. Now, this was news to me. I had no clue that they even liked water.
Additionally, I learned that guinea pigs should be kept in pairs, unless there is a specific medical condition that requires isolation. Apparently in Sweden, to sell a lone guinea pig to a buyer who doesn't have any other guinea pigs is illegal. I thought this was an interesting fact.
Anyways, bye for now. I will be sure to share with you my funny cockatiel story very soon.
Be blessed,
Ava (Adia's "enlightened about guinea pigs" MAMA)
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteI have a guinea pig too, with the same kind of hair, but a different color! My guinea pig's name is Tiny. I saw you feed your guinea pig oranges, I am going to try that too. Do you leave the peel on when you feed him oranges?
From, Grayson
Dear Grayson,
ReplyDeleteTiny sounds really cute! Yes, I do keep on the skin when I feed him oranges. You do not have to but my guinea pig likes the skin on. He always eats the inside and makes the outside a bowl! : )
Is Tiny yours, your sisters , or both of yours?
Warmly,
Grace
Hi Grace,
ReplyDeleteWe used to have a hamster named Bella, but she died of old age. We have two huge Goldendoodle dogs named Gus and Scout and I have a little special needs dog named Boby. Boby walks crooked, can't lift his head up all the way, usually keeps his tongue hanging out of his mouth and barks like a wild animal. To me, he is the cutest 3 lb dog I've ever seen. I always wanted a tiny dog and I love him so much. Pets are lots of work, but they love you so much that it's worth it.
Love,
Brayden
Dear Grace,
ReplyDeleteI have two guinea pigs. One is named Asia and the other is Taffy. She used to bite, but now she nibbles on towels. I saw that they could get aggressive when playing. They love to eat grass, lettuce, and carrots. It has to have vitamin in its water, so it will stay healthy. I love to sleep in my sister’s room, and that way I can hear the guinea pigs run around in circles. The cage is very long because they can grow a lot in their life spend. I have questions for you.
How long have you had Hoody?
Sincerely,
Lindsay
